Why is the Aam Aadmi party giving tickets to ex-BJP politicians and rioters like Amanatullah Khan who is accused of the provocative poster case in Delhi?

Here is the news report of an ex-BJPian getting AAP ticket in upcoming Delhi elections.
Is he eligible now to get an honesty certificate from Kejriwal now?

And here is the guy who put all the provocative posters in Delhi (as accused by the AAP)..And they protested against the BJP that their leader Dilip Pandey was arrested without any reason.
But now, they themselves gave ticket to him!!

Where are the moral grounds that were set up by the party's convenor Kejriwal?
Where are all those people who said that AAP does not indulge in religion politics

8 AnswersHow does Amanatullah Khan become a rioter when there was no riot? Beats me. Rather, Khan was instrumental in keeping the peace in the area

AAP's Okhla leader, Amanatullah Khan, a real secular hero

  • First Amanatullah Khan himself had appeared before the police after the posters incident and on investigation, the police did not find anything inflammatory in the posters. The posters in fact were on the topics of water and electricity needs of people and Khan was therefore released by the police.
  • During the time when there was communal tension in Trilokpuri area, some miscreants tried to disturb peace in Madanpur Khadar area by putting dead animal parts in a mosque. On hearing of the incident, Khan immediately went there, got the mosque cleaned, met with Muslims of the area and advised them to not let this cause any communal flareup.

Arvind asked when Khan admitted that he had put up the posters, then why was Dilip arrested. He didn't say that the posters were inciting, or that Khan was guilty.

Not sure which BJP leader are you referring to here, however AAP is born in India and Indians would join it. I am a 3 time BJP voter, now an AAP supporter. Same way many BJP leaders have joined AAP. That is okay!

What is not okay is AAP giving tickets to BJP leaders who joined only after getting assurance of ticket. This is a mistake that AAP is making and in future it can pay heavy price for it. AAP must not support and promote future Vinod Kuma Binny's.

I personally raise the episode of Fateh Singh getting the ticket, and the response was - he is a clean and winnable candidate. They might very well be right, however AAP volunteers aren't happy about it and are keeping the pressure high so that such instances reduce.

In LS there were 200 parachute candidates and in Delhi elections there might be 8-10. However, personally I believe that if this is not reduced, it would harm AAP a lot.
